This is a picture of the kid who spanked everyone in the pool this week. Not only does he still wear Pull-Ups at night, but he spends his free time at weddings trying to blow the biggest bubble. Seriously- When the lady brought out the bubbles for all the little kids, this guy came screaming "Bubbles! Bubbles! Mama- Bubbles!" ... knocking over two grandparents and a bridesmaid in his scramble to get the first novelty vial of bubbles.
Meet The Cornbread Kid. Not only he is too young to legally drive by himself, but he also lacks the self-awareness that most of us possess after donning a pink-striped shirt. Maybe, that kind of thing is common in Kentucky. Which, brings me to my next point- he's from Kentucky! A state where the biggest cash crop (pot) was recently replaced by meth. A place where you can drive through the liquor store in one county (they'll put your 18 pack of Bud Lime Ass in your trunk), and be arrested in the very next county for holding a beer on your porch. Kentucky.
How do you know when you're staying in a Kentucky hotel?
When you call the front desk and say "I've gotta leak in my sink" and the person at the front desk says "go ahead."
When you call the front desk and say "I've gotta leak in my sink" and the person at the front desk says "go ahead."
Anyway- in truth- The Cornbread Kid is about 220 pounds of muscle. And a pretty good student. So now I'll shut up before his Mom flies out and whacks me over the head with a frying pan. Plus, now he won't have to sell any livestock to finance his entry into the pool.
Sincere congrats go to The Cornbread Kid for a nice win in Week 6. This is yet another rookie taking a weekly win. This should be the last warning shot to all you regulars. Time to pick up the pace!
Rally Matt takes 2nd place in a tie breaker over Brian S.
When he's not winning money in football pools, Rally Matt is a professional race car driver. Here is he now splashing through some mud.
With his 2nd place finish, Matt moves into a tie for 2nd place on the season. Maybe with he money the makes, he can afford to wash his car.
In the Survivor Pool, just one player fell out in Week 6. I'm almost afraid to say who it was for fear that the whole pool could be turned over to the feds in retaliation for his crappy Survivor performance year after year. But screw it- Commish won a week this year already, so I really don't care. Predictably, Commish picked Chicago - and he was the only one to do so. This is why I recommend sticking together, people. Why stick out like a sore thumb? The football gods will only crush you. He's still crying in his cheap domestic beer about it - yet another excuse for why I'm writing the words this week. :)
Brian C and the Custodian round out 1st and 2nd place on the season. It's early, so it doesn't matter. Still, it's a tight group, and anyone in the top 24 has a chance to win for the season. Everyone else should just send in their money now and stop picking.
Best of luck to all in Week 7 - except for those of you still in the Survivor Pool. I hope you all choose Buffalo.

leave it to you Doug!
